The Cardinal boys came up short against Turtle Lake-Mercer/McClusky last week, as the Trojans took a 25-point win over the home team.
Washburn would come out of the gate with some power, taking a pair of three-pointers in an attempt to keep pace with TLMM, who made two threes of their own and 14 points total. The Trojans would lead 14-8 heading into the second.
The Cardinals grabbed a single field goal in the second, courtesy of a three pointer by Devin Sailer. The Trojans would continue to climb the scoreboard with two threes from A.J. Ketterling and an additional dozen points.
At half time, TLMM lead 32-11.
Washburn would use fouls to their advantage in the third, making six points at the free throw line and keeping the Trojans’ lead by growing much more. TLMM would lead 48-21 going into the fourth.
