Early Canada Goose season
Early Canada Goose season is underway and many local hunters are taking advantage of the advanced opening.
Weston Delzer, Max, is one of those enjoying the early goose season.
“We went out Saturday morning. There were seven of us and we got 29 geese. No large flocks were flying around, just groups of 15 or less,” he said. “We mostly had groups of two to 10 coming into the decoys. We were set up in a pea field.”
Calvin Tomlinson, Max, is also using the early season to his advantage. With the lack of large flocks flying around, he said he is using the early season mostly for scouting. However, he has had some successful hunts.
