Southern McLean puts on a show
The Roughriders exhibited fine form at the Apr. 24 Varsity Invitational at the Washburn campus. The first session saw the boys compete in long jump, high jump, javelin and shot put events, while the girls partook in triple jump, pole vault and discus throwing. In the second session, the boys engaged in triple jump, pole vault and discus activities, whereas the girls performed in long jump, high jump, shot put and javelin tossing. Both males and females were also part of 13 running events. In Photo 1 (submitted by Shelly Schiele), Tucker Schiele takes a quantum leap in the long jump, posting a state-qualifying jump of 21’ 5”.
