Skyhawks soar over the Roughriders
Despite their best efforts, the Souther n McLean Roughriders were trounced 41-8 by the Shiloh Christian
Skyhawks during their Sept. 11 matchup at the Washburn High School football field.
The opposition was led by speedy running back Braiden Kuehn, who scored multiple touchdowns.
The Skyhawks began with a kickoff, and off the Roughriders went. Senior Garrett Pfleiger made small advancements, but the Roughriders ultimately punted back to the Skyhawks.
Following the punt, the Skyhawks made a staggering 64 yard run. Two 3 yard runs later and they had scored the first touchdown of the game. A complete point after kick put the Skyhawks ahead 0-7.
The Roughriders struggledto come of f of the early touchdown, and before long punted the ball again. Shiloh made a 6 yard run before fumbling the ball, which was then recovered by junior Landyn Miller. Seniors Caden Germundson and Hunter Klindtworth followed up the recovery with small runs, but again sent the ball back to the Skyhawks.
