Shiloh ends Cardinal season

The Washburn Cardinals season came to an end Monday night, during the quarterfinals of the Region 5 tournament in New Salem.
The Cardinals, who beat Turtle Lake-Mercer/McClusky last week to advance to the tournament, hit some roadblocks Monday against Shiloh Christian.
Washburn would be bested in three out of three sets against the Skyhawks, who they faced in the third game of the quarterfinals in New Salem Monday. This would end the Cardinals’ season and send Shiloh Christian into the Semifinals against Wilton-Wing. The other teams advancing to Tuesday’s games are Garrison-Max and Flasher.
