Roughriders dropped by Skyhawks:
The Southern McLean Roughriders loaded up the buses and headed south Friday night, facing another daunting Region 4 challenge by looking to take on the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks, at their home palace in Bismarck.
The Skyhawks, who had lost for the first time the previous week to Dickinson Trinity, came out hungry, putting up 14 quick points in the first quarter. Not resting on their laurels, the Skyhawks kept the barrage in the second, putting up 21 more points. Meanwhile, the Roughriders offense, mired down by a pesky Skyhawk defense, was unable to tally any points in the first half. When the horn sounded, signifying the end of the half, the Roughriders were down big, 35-0.
