Roughrider XC heading to State
Southern McLean bound for Jamestown Friday

After girls finished second and boys took fourth at this year’s regional cross country meet, Southern McLean athletes are bound for state
competition this week. Southern McLean travels to Jamestown Friday to compete at this year’s Class B State Cross Country meet, where goals have been set for both individual and team placements. “For the girls, we go in ranked 7th but we feel there’s an opportunity for us to move up into that top 5. Individually, some of the kids will push for an All-State position (top-20 at State),” Nathan Stamstad, one of the Roughriders’ head coaches, said. Stamstad coaches alongside Laura Tweeten.
