Riverdale gun range remodel complete

You can enjoy a rubber-covered gun rest and custom-adjustable seats at the Riverdale gun range following major improvements this summer. The range underwent a major remodel that was complete about two weeks ago. The location remains the same, however, a new berm surrounding the site was a majority of the work. A berm is in place on the east side of the range and the backside berm was also increased in height to meet NRA specifications. Those visiting the site will also notice two new gun benches to rest guns on while shooting at about 100 yards up range. One bench includes a seat on either side and a second includes open slots on either side for handicap accessibility. Up to four shooters can be at the rests at once. Dan Halstead, North Dakota Game and Fish wildlife resource management supervisor, said the improvements will help create a safer shooting environment.
