Post 12 takes two from ‘A’s’

Jared Mitzel and Blake Anderson both picked up wins on the hill Monday night as Legion Post 12 baseball won both ends of a double-header against the Mandan A’s, combining for 27 hits in the two games.
Mitzel picked up the 8-6 win, but reliever Hunter Jacobs picked up the save, pitching three innings and not giving up a single earned run.
Caleb Weisgarber was good for a pair of RBIs, while Jacobs was good for a pair of steals. Anderson, Mitzel and Christian Thompson were each good for a pair of hits in the win.
Game two saw Post 12 take a quick 2-0 lead the first inning, and that quick lead was enough to hold off the rallying A’s, as Post 12 held on for the 7-6 win, out-hitting the A’s 14-7.
