Post 12 takes pair on the road

This past week found the Post 12 Legion team taking their show on the road, as they trekked east in search of new challenges.
Up first, a Thursday, June 15 double-header in Fargo against the Fargo Jets.
Trevor Schreiner took the hill in game one and managed to stymie the Jets, holding them to 3 runs on 6 hits.
Meanwhile, Post 12 hitters were heavy-handed with the Jets pitching staff, banging out 12 runs on 12 hits.
Leading the charge for Post 12 was Brandon Jenkins (2-5), Kolby Yantzer (3-3), Reed Backman (1-3 with a home run). Logan Schmitz and Garrett Mosbrucker also each chipped in with 2 RBI’s a piece.
In the night-cap, Post 12 would again sweep to victory behind the right arm of Cam Hall, who held the Jets to 7 runs on 7 hits. Meanwhile the bats of Post 12 would continue to be hot, as they pushed 10 runs across the plate on 11 hits. Brandon Jenkins would lead the charge, going 3-4 in his plate appearances. Kolby Yantzer and Trevor Schreiner would each collect a pair of hits and chalk up 2 RBI’s a piece.
