Post 12 earns a win while staying dry
By Michael Johnson, Editor
Friday offered the only fair day for baseball at the Washburn baseball field as the Steve Kenner Memorial Baseball Tournament started. All games were on time Friday. Four innings were played on Saturday before teams were soaked and everyone went home to let the field dry out for another day. The field was too wet to play on Sunday, coach Kip Erickson said. The Post 12 team was able to battle it out with the Jamestown Blues on Friday and they came out swinging hard. Sixteen hits in the game allowed for a 9-3 win in seven innings for Washburn.
