Plan ahead for great camping
By Michael Johnson, Editor
Maybe it’s caught you by surprise or maybe you’ve been planning it for months, but with Independence Day just a week away, you may want to check to see if your local campground can squeeze you in. The tradition of camping on the Fourth of July is one that most don’t want to miss and with a little checking you won’t have to. Reports are that travel is up for this year’s holiday thanks to slightly lower prices at the fuel pump. Prices are down from almost $4 in April to an average of $3.57 at the end of June. The Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea have lowered so grounds are open and looking good.
