Mott-Regent pounds Lady Cards

A shorthanded Washburn team trudged through 24 minutes of uninspiring play — punctuated by countless unforced errors — in its 53-29 loss to Mott-Regent during a Jan. 16 home matinee.
The early 2-0 lead, courtesy of a Brynn Hyttinen layup, was the first and only time the Cardinals had the advantage in a contest that the Red and White mostly slept walked through.
Neither Hyt innen nor Ashlyn Schmitz could get on track early as they and the entire squad were plagued by poorly-timed passes and blocked shots, many of which were converted into points by Jenessa Zenter (14 points) and company on the other end.
