Miners clinch ticket to New Salem
On a dark Thursday evening, Nov. 7, there was a packed crowd ready to cheer in Wilton for a play in game between the Wilton-Wing Miners and the Garrison Troopers. The winner would advance to the Region 5 tournament in New Salem and play the Flasher Bulldogs in the first round on Nov. 11.
The crowd would get the result they hoped for with the Wilton-Wing Miners defeating Garrison three sets to one.
