Miners, Cardinals JV tournament

The Miners and Cardinals JV teams headed to Turtle Lake this last weekend to play in the annual McLean County JV Tournament.
Wilton had won the tournament the previous year and head coach Jocelyn Bergquist was looking to repeat as champs.
The Miners would play Garrison to start the tournament and play well, but foul trouble would hurt the Miners in this one and they would fall to Garrison 49-63.
In the consolation bracket, they would have to play Minot in the second round. The opponent’s front line consisted of players 6’2”, 6’0” and 5’10”.
The Miners would hang around playing hard but fall to Minot 31-48.
In the final game the Miners played TLMM and were able to play many younger players as they beat Turtle Lake 50-5.
