Miners boys 0 for 3 in tournament

As per standing tradition, the Miner boys basketball team didn’t spend their entire Christmas break in the practice gym, but instead attended the Mandan Holiday tournament held Dec. 27, 28 and 29. The Mandan Holiday Tournament historically highlights many top-tier teams and this year wasn’t any different. Although they were in contention at some points over the tournament, Wilton-Wing lost all of their games: 66-40 against Grant County, 59-47 against Bottineau and finally 54-34 against Hettinger-Scranton. On the opening night, playing against the Grant County Coyotes, the Miners suffered from a miserable first half, scoring only 10 points over two quarters. Going into the third quarter trailing by 19 points, Wilton-Wing had better luck scoring on offense, but the Coyotes kept the pressure up on their end.
