The Lady Miners home game winning streak would end by the hands of Kidder County on Friday.
The Lady Wolves came out dominate in the first quarter Feb. 1, dropping a couple of three pointers within the first few minutes of the game. Lady Miners could not find an answer for the over half a dozen two pointers that rained down on them from the Lady Wolves. The first quarter would end Wolves up, 24-5.
Entering the second quarter, the Lady Miners battled to try and make up for lost opportunities. Hailey Quam connected on four two pointers and Erin Thompson would drop a three pointer in what would be the Lady Miners best quarter with a total of 18 points. The Lady Wolves would not slow down, however, still adding 14 points to their lead to go into half.
The Lady Wolves would capitalize off of turnovers and rebounds in the second half. The third quarter was similar to the first with the Lady Wolves cashing in 16 points alone in the field. Lady Miners did not find the shots as they only gained four points the whole quarter.
Kidder County would go on to the fourth with a major lead that could not be caught, leaving the Lady Miners out in the dust with a final score, 72-38.
