Lady Miners tame Coyotes

The unbeaten Wilton-Wing Miners welcomed Hailey Quam back into the fold and soared over Grant County 67-59 in the Jan. 23 afternoon affair that saw both teams give their “A” efforts.
Quam’s sheer will to put the ball in the hoop was on full display in an entertaining first quarter, as the sophomore connected on jumpers in the paint, from the perimeter and drives to the basket in scoring 11 of her 32 points.
When Quam wasn’t penetrating the opposing defense, Kalyssa Schock (18 points) took matters into her own hands by sinking three treys in the opening eight minutes.
