Lady Miners seize Region 5

After locking horns only 11 days earlier in the District Tournament final, the Miners and Wildcats were back at it again, as Wilton- Wing prevailed to capture the Region 5 title 44-30.
The Feb. 2 5 regional showdown took place before a packed crowd from several communities at Mandan High School.
Kiara Johnson (10 points, 3 steals) was especially active in the early going of a low-scoring slugfest by capitalizing on a late first quarter steal to put her side ahead 10-7.
