Lady Cards fall flat to Glen Ullin/Hebron

Turnovers, ill-advised passing and ineffective defense were the hallmarks of Washburn’s 37-23 loss to the Bearcats of Glen Ullin/Hebron during the opening day of the 2021 McLean County Varsity Girls Basketball Shootout in Wilton.
An undisciplined first quarter saw the Red and White go four minutes without scoring until point guard Brynn Hyttinen (6 steals) hit a hook in the lane, narrowing the Bearcat lead to 3-2. But it would be a while before Jarod Obering’s bunch would produce additional points, as the opposition increased its lead to 9-2 at the start of the second quarter.
