Football youth camp kicks off Monday

The Southern McLean Youth Football Camp is only days away, as 4th, 5th and 6th graders will be introduced to positional fundamentals on offense and defense from July 26 through July 28.
Going into this year’s threeday tutorial, Southern McLean Roughriders head coach Beau Eriksson is aware that not every child will be at the same level in terms of their football knowledge.
“Some kids will be doing football drills for the first time while others got to play last year. This camp helps kids experience every position knowing they may not get to [them] during the season. We want them to have fun by getting to play every position,”
explained Eriksson, who recently concluded workouts with his varsity athletes earlier this month.
