Cards rally falls short

Despite a sloppy performance in their opener — rife with fielding errors and passed balls — the Cardinals registered a late rally that saw them nearly come back from a 8-run deficit versus Renville County.
Washburn Wilton Center- Stanton (WWCS) wound up on the losing end of a 17-15 affair.
Negotiat ing the high winds was an onerous task for both sides, particularly when it came to catching the ball in Game 1 of the Apr. 5 doubleheader.
