Cards pitching silences Hettinger

Starting pitcher Alex Retterath was the star of the Cardinals 6-3 home win over Hettinger/Scranton/New England last Thursday, with the freshman hurler tossing a 6 inning complete-game gem.
Retterath was dealing in the third inning by striking out Bradee Clapper with an inside fastball, inducing a feeble groudout for the second out and the whiffing Joshua Dix with a dose of high heat.
Other key contributors included Jack Retterath, who hit a towering double and was later knocked in by center fielder Trey Koski at 2-1 in the third frame. Landon Miller also delivered a majestic
double of his own in the fourth inning, but was ultimately stranded at third base.
