The Washburn Cardinals boys basketball team headed into the tournament looking to repeat as District 10 tournament champions.
The road to the final game would take place on their home court, with the first game on Friday Feb. 24 versus the Center-Stanton Wildcats.
The Cardinals would open the tournament playing red hot on offense versus the Wildcats.
They would play a good game offensively winning easily 63-34 to advance to the second round.
The next night would draw the Garrison Troopers who had beaten the Cardinals in the regular season by three points, 51-48.
The boys were looking for revenge in this one and jumped on them in the first half leading by a nice margin 38-22.
