Cardinals girls basketball ends impressive season with Regionals loss
The Washburn Cardinals girls varsity basketball team’s impressive season officially came to an end on Saturday, February 24, after falling just short in a close battle against Grant County Mott-Regent, 54-50, in round one of the Region 4 Tournament in Killdeer.
Despite a determined effort, Washburn’s season concluded with the narrow defeat—but not without leaving their mark on the year.
The Cardinals finished the 2024-25 campaign with an outstanding record of 17 wins and just 7 losses, a testament to the growth and determination of a team that consistently impressed throughout the season.
