The Washburn Cardinals were at home on Tuesday playing their first of two home games this week. Their opponent was the undefeated Flasher Bulldogs. Despite their better record, the Bulldogs were in a close game with the Cardinals to start. Washburn
actually had a 12-8 lead after a kill by Sydney Schmit. After that, Flasher came back and regained their lead. The rest of the first set was back and forth between the teams with the Bulldogs winning 25-23.

The second set was nearly identical, with both teams not gaining much more than a two point advantage until Flasher opened up the set, taking a 13-7 lead. It would take a while for WHS to get back in the game, trailing by as much as nine at one point, but the Cards rallied back scoring eleven of the next twelve points to take the set and tie the match at one a piece.
