Cardinals corralled by Holstein
The Washburn Cardinals boys’ basketball squad, looking to maintain their spot in the three-way tie atop the District 6 race, hosted district foe New Salem-Almont on Feb. 8.
The Cardinals came out strong in the first, as they would ride the hot shooting of senior Alex Retterath, as he would lead them with 7 points in the quarter. At the end of the first, it was Washburn 17, New Salem-Almont 16.
