Bergquist earns All Region

Wilton’s Taylor Bergquist was honored this past week as one of the 15 best players in Region 5.
Bergquist was a force for the Miners this season in the ever-important role as setter for the team. This is the fifth year Bergquist has played volleyball, continuing to improve her game every step. She would play in every game this season racking up over 400 assists. The Miners group this year would finish the season in fourth place in Region 5 but be beat out in the quarterfinals by Underwood.
Bergquist’s talent was recognized by her coach.
“Taylor is a very hard worker. As a setter, we have high expectations for her to hustle to get to passes even when they are not passed right to the setter spot,” head coach Alison Smith said.
