Wilton welcomes Supt. Barbara Kady
By Michael Johnson, Editor
New Wilton Superintendent Barbara Kady says making the decision to take the position at Wilton School was an easy one. Likewise, the decision to hire Kady was an easy one for Wilton School board members. After brief discussion, board members agreed to give her the call back shortly after an online interview with her. Kady was unable to make it to the interview in Wilton as she was living in Iowa at the time. The board took time interviewing numerous candidates over several weeks and, while others were very qualified, Kady stood out above others as someone who could steer the school on a positive path toward the school goal – Working together to promote academics, cultural acceptance and social skills to succeed in an ever-changing society. While it might seem like quite a switch to go from Iowa to North Dakota, Kady has ties to the area and said she is glad to be back. She was lucky enough to even find a home in Wilton. In the first few weeks on the job, Kady went through her first school board meeting and found the members to be helpful to the future of the school.
