Wilton School Board talk Superintendent contract
By Michael Johnson, Editor
The discussion of how many personal and professional days should be allowed for Wilton School Superintendent Craig Johnson has been ongoing since the start of the contract approval earlier this spring. The subject came up again during the last regular meeting after a new set of eyes looked over the numbers. In the past school year it appeared that Supt. Johnson had taken 42 days of personal/professional development, days he said provide knowledge that can’t be measured on paper. The board talked about setting a cap on personal/professional days in order to make sure that there was at least one administrator at the school at all times, unless that was not possible. The board heard concerns about Johnson not being at the school to handle matters and not showing up for events like graduation or county superintendent meetings.
