Wilton commissioners tour South Central Water
By Brenda L. Shelkey
It has been nearly a year since the South Central Regional Water District plant began serving the Wilton area, bringing a stream of cool, clear water like Wilton hasn’t had before. Following the city commission meeting held Monday, Sept. 15, commissioners got a chance to tour the water treatment plant located north of Bismarck which serves Wilton. Mayor Kyle Tschosik wanted the new commissioners to see what the water plant was all about. He said, “This was a big issue for us a year ago. It will be good for the new commissioners to see what the whole process was about.” Doug Neibauer was on hand to give commissioners the tour and answer questions. He handed them a booklet with pictures and diagrams of the process used to draw water from the ground water below the Missouri River.
