Washburn School sees little enrollment change
By Michael Johnson, Editor
The start of school is right around the corner and administrators at the Washburn School agree things are ready to go with only minor changes to the order. Anticipated enrollment stood at 285 for kindergarten through 12th grade on Tuesday, the week before school was to start. That’s pretty much right on last year’s expected enrollment. “I thought we’d be at a little more,” Superintendent Brad Rinas said. More would be nice as the school gets about $7,700 for each student attending the school. The preschool program continues to be popular and is expected to have about 29 students. Changes can still come through in the coming week and the school could likely see some new faces for the first day.
