Washburn Public School hires Consolidated Construction for new school project
Taxpayers set to vote in December

The Washburn Public School Board of Education has moved hire Consolidated Construction Co. Inc. to move forward with a
plan up updating the school’s infrastructure. The board held a special meeting Aug. 9 to receive presentations from Consolidated Construction and McGough who both pled their cases why they were the best fit for the project. Both companies were sought out by EngTech, the engineering and architect firm hired to help Washburn Public Schools with the new school project. “It’s a touch decision either way,” Trevor Huffaker, senior architect and partner at EngTech, told the board Aug. 9.
