A full squad of Red River Riders were primed, ready and dressed to kill outside of the Riverboat Saloon last Saturday, as they embarked on a five-hour jaunt through McLean County to raise funds for their high school scholarship.
Much like last year, said Red River Riders member Brady Degenstein, the goal is to invest proceeds from the summer event into an education grant awarded to a graduating McLean County senior.
“We head out here and we do a big loop. Every year, we go a different route, so we add a little variety. This year, we’re going out west. We’re going out to Center, then New Salem, Glen Ullin, Beulah and then back here,” described Degenstein in detailing the 150-mile weekend tour.
