A million-dollar bond has been set for Chad Isaak, the Washburn man suspected of killing four people at RJR Maintenance and Management in Mandan last week.
McLean County Sheriff’s Department officers apprehended Isaak, a Washburn chiropractor, during a traffic stop in front of the Captain’s Cabin on the afternoon of April 4. Officers given a description of the suspect vehicle in a quadruple homicide on April 1 had reportedly started surveilling Isaak, who owned a white Ford matching the description of the suspect vehicle.
Isaak was taken into custody while a warrant was executed on his vehicle, which reportedly contained evidence of human blood and fibres that further linked him to the murders. Officers searching Isaak’s home in Northview Estates later on Thursday reportedly discovered shell casings and weapons consistent with those used to kill the four RJR employees.
According to the Mandan Police Department and court documents, surveillance footage around RJR in Mandan shows a man entering the building at 6:47 a.m. on April 1, and exiting wearing different clothing at 7 a.m. The suspect then drove an RJR vehicle down the street to the Indigo Signs parking lot, and walked to a white Ford F150. A photo of the vehicle, which was tracked driving down Memorial Highway, and spotted again by surveillance cameras in Center later that morning.
