High school juniors from across the state will gather for the 2013 North Dakota Association of Student Councils State Convention from Sunday, Dec. 15 to Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Ramkota Convention Center in Bismarck.
The three day conference will unite over 50 different high schools with hundreds of student council members in attendance. Students running for the state student council are elected among their peers to represent all North Dakota students.
Tanner Due, a junior at Washburn High School, is running for Class B Representative against seven other students from various student councils across the state.
"Students campaign for votes and schmooze with the voters. The scene is nuts! Students are running around networking, putting stickers on people and handing out bracelets and fliers," said student council advisor, Wendy Miller.
