It seems that the past month has been fairly consistent in raining nearly every other day. Lewis and Clark Days found two near perfect days for being outside to celebrate. The 14th annual Lewis and Clark Days celebration was three days of events and each of those events had regulars that can describe the successes of the event. Lewis and Clark Days is put together by the Washburn Civic Club and civic club president Ed Barnhardt said he thought the event went very well. Tractor Trek: The big event on Friday was the Tractor Trek. The trek started in Wilton and came 26 miles through beautiful back roads until ending outside of the Captain’s Cabin in Washburn. One regular attender was Bob Christianson of Bismarck. He’s been a regular Tractor Trekie for the past seven years. He said few things compare to seeing 130 old tractors parading across the countryside. "I always enjoyed dirt farming," Christianson said. Now he spends time working on his many tractors including a Ford, John Deere and a Minneapolis-Moline that he brought along on the journey.
