Sully Drive to be renamed John Wesley Lane?

With the construction of the new United Methodist Church comes a request from the building committee to name a soon-to-be street differently than a connecting street. The current street, Sully Drive, would continue on the stretch that is being added. Instead of calling it Sully Drive, the building committee would like to name it John Wesley Lane, for the founder of Methodism. Commissioner Derek Laning thought that where the street maintained the same direction it should remain the same name as code said. Otherwise it would be confusing he said. Commissioner Duane Bauer made the motion to table the topic until they could hear comments from the city attorney David Lindell.
