Storm drops half inch
Reports calculated up to an inch of rain fell in southern McLean County between Monday and Tuesday night. The lowest measurement reported in the area was a quarter of an inch of rain, though multiple reports north of Washburn were close to an inch or just over. The precipitation was accompanied by high winds, with several trees reported to have fallen overnight during a series of gusts. Things were expected to warm up for the weekend, with Friday’s high hitting 90 degrees before more storms are expected Saturday in the area. Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy with highs in the 80s.
