Seven Day Jones brings music event to Washburn

By Michael Johnson, Editor

An event of epic proportions is coming to Washburn, April 10. With the help of area churches, Seven Day Jones, a contemporary Christian rock band, will breathe new life into locals looking for a musical treat. Event organizer Jill Wiese said this event is open to the whole area. It includes great music, food, prizes and a dance off, all for free. The event will start at 6:15 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Washburn with food and socializing. The band is set to start at 7 p.m. Seven Day Jones comes from the Bismarck area and has recently released a third album. You can hear the band on local Bismarck station 104.7 KNDR. They are well known for their singles “Breathe” and “Noise.” The band is known for their worshipful feel and melodic catchy choruses. Their modern sound and positive message will appeal to young and old. Some may have gone to a concert with them in Turtle Lake last year. The group comes to the United Methodist Church on their “Live Different” tour. They will visit Hazelton, April 6; Washburn, April 10; and Garrison, April 14 as part of this tour.
