School moves to mail-in election

Ballots wi ll be cast remotely in this year’s Washburn School Board race, as the board voted Tuesday to do a mail-in election. During a special meeting Tuesday morning, the
Washburn School Board voted unanimously to have its June 9 school board election without any physical polling places. Mail-in ballots will be sent out to constituents to
mail back with their official votes. A second motion on the matter approved a drop box for ballots at the Washburn Public Library. A final motion allowed for arranging of election
workers and tal lying of ballots to take place at the school.
