River Ag nears completion

By Michael Johnson, Editor

Two guys sitting around drinking coffee can be a dangerous thing. Some crazy ideas get tossed around and sometimes some pretty good ideas stick. Clark Price and Paul Bichler, partners in the River Ag building going up just below the bridge near the Washburn boat landing, saw that the business would be a good venture for them, as they were both busy in their jobs and wanted to have a location in Washburn. With workers leveling concrete, setting drywall and lines being pulled by electricians, it is clear the building is coming together. Price hoped much of the construction would be complete by May. The footings for the building went in last November. The building includes an 80 by 180-foot warehouse that will be used to house seed. Price handles Pioneer brand seed.  The front portion of the building, which is attached to the warehouse, will be used for the animal health products, in which Bichler specializes. He serves as an outside sales manager for animal health products.
