New WAEDA director named

Tana Waldren Larsen has been named Economic Development & Marketing Director for the Washburn Area Economic Development Association (WAEDA).
Larsen will work with the City of Washburn, Civic Club and community organizations to better the Washburn area.
“After a statewide search was conducted, Larsen rose to the top of the applicant pool through her professional background in community development & management, project management, property management and relationship development,” said Newly Voigt, WAEDA president. “Her hometown roots and familiarity with the community are definitely a benefit to this position.”
Larsen spoke briefly at Monday’s Washburn City Commission meeting, expressing enthusiasm for her new position.
