Miners head to semifinals

Wilton-Wing will do battle with Shiloh Christian on Tuesday night in the semi-final round of the Region 5 tournament.
The Miners came out victorious Monday night against the Underwood Comets, taking all three sets over their neighbors to the north. The win ended the Comets’ season and pushed Wilton-Wing into a Tuesday game against Shiloh Christian, who bested Washburn Monday.
Also playing the semi-finals Tuesday are Flasher and Garrison-Max.
Tuesday’s losing teams will head into a third-place game on Thursday evening, which will be followed by the championship game.
