Memorial Building gets new locks
By Michael Johnson, Editor
City commissioners rationed there were too many keys floating around for entry into the Memorial Building so they voted to have new locks installed in the building with new keys to be distributed to those necessary. “There are certain people that need a key to the building, but not everybody and his brother,” was commissioner Ray Hager’s suggestion. Commissioner Derek Laning felt the solution was looking for a problem, because they had not heard of anyone misusing the keys, he didn’t think they should be replaced. Some commissioners believed that over the years there have been issues especially in the Legion hall. Keys have been changed in the Legion rooms. Hager made the motion to change the locks and all were in favor. The new keys will have the printing on them that they are not to be copied.
