Masses turn out for testing
McLean County hit a dubious milestone this weekend as positive Coronavirus cases reached triple digits.
The North Dakota Department of Health reported the county’s 100th case of COVID-19 on Sunday afternoon, with the local total hitting 102 that day. The surge in cases followed local testing that was conducted in Washburn earlier that week.
As of Tuesday, McLean County had 105 confirmed cases, with 35 active cases. The county peaked over the weekend with 45 active cases.
McLean and Walsh Counties are the only N.D. counties to date with over 100 cases but with zero reported deaths due to COVID-19.
North Dakota has 8,782 total COVID-19 cases, with 1,169 active cases and 128 reported deaths, with 105 of those directly caused by COVID-19.
