A 23-year-old Burlington man, wanted by authorities in Minot for multiple offenses, was apprehended when he made a stop in Underwood, Friday.

Jherik Anthony Hess was wanted on one count of felonious restraint, one count of terrorizing and one count of armed robbery for his part in a burglary in Minot.

Authorities tracked Hess using the 21-year-old victim’s cell phone-pings. Hess took the woman’s phone to keep her from calling authorities, but the woman contacted Ward County deputies through another phone.

Ward County authorities tracked Hess moving south as he entered McLean County.

McLean County law enforcement was notified to "Be On the Look-Out" for a suspect involved in the home invasion where a firearm was used.

According to McLean County Lt. Rick Richard, the department’s involvement began at about 10:10 a.m. when the suspect vehicle was detected in Ward County near the New Town (N.D. 23) turnoff.
