‘Once in a lifetime opportunity’ for Washburn to purchase local property
The city of Washburn will make a written offer for a parcel of land for sale near the city hall to help expand its operations.
During the city commission meeting Oct. 9, Washburn President Larry Thomas told fellow commissioners there is a 125’ by 150’ piece of land for sale just south of the Washburn City Hall.
“This would be one heck of an addition to the city of Washburn,” Thomas said.
He explained the city is running low on room for its compound and if the city can purchase the land, it would open up opportunities to expand in the future.
