Legislative special session concludes business in three days
The 68th Legislative Assembly special session began Oct. 23 and ended three days later, passing 13 bills through the House and Senate.
According to the executive order signed by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum signed Oct. 17, the special session was called to order pursuant to section 7 of article V of the constitution of North Dakota for the purpose of considering legislation to implement the invalidated provisions of SB2015.
This came after the North Dakota Supreme Court decision on the Board of Trustees of North Dakota Public Employees’ Retirement
System v. North Dakota Legislative Assembly, which ruled every bill passed has to be a single subject, which SB2015 did not follow.
