Implement under new ownership

Washburn’s implement has new owners, a new name and a new mission.
Dean and Sandy Swanson closed on the purchase of AgPro Equipment on Oct. 5, and with the change in ownership, the Case Street business became McLean County Implement.
The Swansons, who own and reside in the neighboring building to the south, said the new venture stemmed from their own need for a local implement.
“It has been very convenient for us,” Sandy said of AgPro Equipment, which set up shop in Washburn in 2016. “So when we heard it was up for sale and that there were no takers, we would have truly missed it.”
Not willing to let the area lose its NAPA store and Versatile dealership, the Swansons decided to buy the building and name the new business McLean County Implement.
“This isn’t just for the small community here,” Dean said. “This is for all of McLean County and the surrounding areas.”
